There they stand, lost and abandoned. Once keenly expressed to a waiting world. Trouble is the world moved on. Tweets about meals eaten, films half-digested, the online world is littered with abandoned blogs, websites and Twitter accounts.

Companies are as bad as individuals at leaving digital detritus. The damage to the brand could be worse than having no web presence.
